Shaq > Micheal Jordan

Most people with half a clue about basketball will actually admit that from a point of view of getting a team to WIN a game Shaq is better than Jordan. And probarly greatest player ever.

MJ is the best perimeter player ever. But the fact is he had an all-star TEAM. Compared to the great Centers of the nba - and even to tim duncan - MJ is not as good.
Simply MJ was the best marketed player and sportsperson ever.

I know that my analysis is not very insightful, but NBA analyst like Tim Legler, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith continue to say Shaq is still #1, which really pisses me off!

and Yao looks up to Charles Barkley? Too bad Tmac and alot others think Yao is the best center right now. Which I know is true.

The stats dont lie. Yao may be clumsy on the court sometimes but so can Shaq. Shaq not only can be clumsy, his fatness makes him slow on the courts.

As much as I dislike SHaq, I have to give him credit as the best nba player ever. Anyone seen the 2000, 2001 shaq? He is just so dominating and scary to play against. No one else will give you that kind of fear, not even MJ.

The best NBA player ever? He is not even the best Center ever! 2000 & 2001 Shaq had no other true center to challenge him. Wilt had Bill Russell, Kareem had Wilt, Moses Malone, Bob Lanier, and Willis Reed. Hakeem had Patrick Ewing and David Robinson. Who did Shaq have to compete against him in his prime? CWebb, Mutombo, Ben Wallace, or Alonzo Mourning - that's no match for his size.

Best Centers ever:

1. Wilt Chamberlain
2. Bill Russell
3. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
4. Hakeem Olajuwon
5. Shaquille O'Neal
