| Chen is on his way to be the starting guard replacing either Wang Shipeng or Liu Wei in 2008. He could even be the starting guard as soon as in December. |

Well Yao Ming praised Chen Jianghua to be a very exciting and gifted young player; he labelled Chen to be a very unique player, a new breed of players very rare for China. He said he seldom finds such kind of players in China: very strong one-on-one ability, fast and lightning quick, brave, and willing to penetrate. He even compared him to the type of players like Allen Iverson.
But he said Chen might not be the type of point guards that can flourish in the current national team, i.e. he might not be the right candidate to pass the ball to him.
He said unless the national team could completely change its current inside-out strategy/tactic that focused on using him as the go-to-guy (which is highly improbable and impossible), and develop set plays for Chen Jianghua or set him free, his development would be hampered. |

| In other words, Yao is saying he still wants Liu to start. By the way, where did you find that? |

He did not say he still wants Liu to start as the point guard.
He only said that the way the current national team built around him (the inside-out strategy/tactics) will not fit Chen Jianghua, hinting that he does not think Chen will be the right point guard to pass him the ball.
BTW, it is from today's sina.com or sohu.com.

Ok, then, he hinted or implied it. Obviously, if he's not starting, Liu Wei will be. Or Sun Yue maybe. |

Now even Yao thinks Chen is China's Iverson. |

Maybe Chen should be the major attacking point for the team, since Yao is always double teamed. |
