So after a very disappointing 3-game road trip to Miami, New Jersey and Philadelphia that ended 1W 2L and saw the Houston Rockets fell behind #8 Memphis Grizzlies by 3 games with only 7 games left, Houston Rockets will play vs San Antonio Spurs at home, while Memphis Grizzlies will play against New Orleans Hornets.
Personally think, after the loss in Philadelphia, the chance for Houston Rockets to surpass Memphis Grizzlies and sneak into the playoff remains just mathematical.
Memphis Grizzlies is currently 42W 33L, and New Orleans Hornets is 43W 32L, while Houston Rockets is 39W 36L.
Even if Houston Rockets can win EVERY of the remaining 7 games, they will only be 46W 36L. Given Memphis Grizzlies and New Orleans Hornets are winning above 50%, therefore unless Memphis Grizzlies only had 2W5L for their remaining 7 games, or New Orleans Hornets which enjoys a tiebreaker over Houston Rockets only had 2W 5L in their remaining 7 games then Houston Rockets could pip either team for a playoff spot, IF the Rockets win ALL their remaining 7 games.
BUT REALISTICALLY THE ODDS WILL BE VERY VERY SLIM.
Nevertheless, the Rockets should just keep on fighting for that very very slim possibility, and compete every of the game like a Game 7 of a playoff series.
This game with San Antonio Spurs at home is a MUST-WIN if they are to keep fighting for that very slim odds.
And personally think the game is a winnable one, as San Antonio Spurs could be resting GDP (Manu Ginobili, Tim Duncan and Tony Parker) for the playoff, and they are currently in a slump, had lost 5 of their recent games concescutively and is in its longest losing streak of the season.
SO GO GO GO ROCKETS !!! GO FOR THE 40TH WIN OF THE SEASON !!! |

Geeeeeeeeeez, !@#$%^&*()!@#$%^&*()@#$%^&*(
VERY UNLUCKY Houston Rockets !!!
The Spurs having lost 5 consecutive games do not want to lose their #1 position in Western Conference to the LA Lakers.
They had been playing without 1 or 2 or 3 of GDP in the past few games.
But in order to beat the Rockets, they're sending on the 3 of them in this game. |

| Rumor is that Spurs losing, trying to get a more favorable match up in the playoffs. |

1H ended. 64 ~ 56. 8 points lead by the Rockets.
The Rockets played well so far in 1H, outscoring, out-rebounding, out-assisting the Spurs despite San Antonio Spurs sending on their 3 key players, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker and Tim Duncan.
But the bad news was Memphis Grizzlies is leading New Orleans 71 ~ 56 towards end of 3Q, and is likely to beat the Hornets. |

Well, if the Spurs is tanking, then they should not have risked playing all of GDP in this game; all 3 of them were listed as day-to-day prior to this game. |
