IT' SO SAD that Jeremy Lin has SUCH FANS !!!!
Do you think Jeremy Lin can save the series???
Do you think it's WORHTWHILE to risk a re-injury or even a MORE SERIOUS one if Jeremy Lin is forced to play UNFIT AND UNCONFIDENTLY ???
This was WHAT Jeremy said right before Game 4 (i.e. on either Friday or Saturday) about his prospect of returning to play in Game 5.
MIND YOU. He had a 3-on-3 scrimmage on Thursday, and then he had to take rest for Friday, complaining about soreness/pain on his left knee.
And those soreness/pain won't disappear, and the conditions and stamina, the confidence and game shape won't just come back like a flip of the fingers in a matter of 3 to 4 days.
You're just EXPOSING Jeremy to SIGNIFICANT RISKS of re-injury or a more serious injury if you still persist he should return to play for Game 5. |

yeah, all these are Lin haters. Woodson will be kicked out, and Camel who fears Lin will become more dominant on the team. |

1) They wanted to win their last game at home.
2) The NBA gets more $$$ for one more game.
I doubt Miami cared whether or not they close out a first round playoff game at home or on the road. A higher priority than winning the last game at home would be to make sure everyone is healthy and rested for the next round, so from that perspective, they were probably more motivated to close out the series in game 4 rather than game 5. That said, I could see the NBA being motivated to have more games to get more money....but asides the phantom foul on Carmelo's last 3ptr, I don't know if the ref'ing was all that bad.... |

I dont think Miami necessarily lost on purpose but it also looked like they weren't really concerned about closing out the series, it certainly didn't look like it from their efforts, especially when they were half assed during that double digit run by the knicks
it definitely looked like stern had told the refs to extend the series. compared to a huge disparity for Miami the first games the Knicks took more FTs in the first quarter than Miami. that alone is weird.
although rocket is butthurt it's not that I dont want Lin to play I dont think he should play. it's also strategically better if Lin does not play, unless he can come in and make an impact.
Boussard and other members of the media are already lobbying for Dolan to use the MLE on Nash. And you know that Camel-0's vast CAA resources have been machinating to get Nash since linsanity broke out |

hmm. it's definitely elevated since it's greater than normal. it's not clear how significant it is. for example how much more it is than to go out and play 3v3. it's going to be 1)more than not being injured and 2)more than going 3v3 but how much more isn't clear
he's PROBABLY not going to get injured. the two real questions are 1) what's the chance that Lin's return wins them the series versus the real (if not likely) chance that him going out there gets him hurt. 2) does it hurt or help Lin's longterm development if he goes out there
it's probably not HUGE either way
1) probably wont get injured
2) probably wont help in terms of Lin winning future playoff games
3) wont significantly alter his position with the knicks
4) wont change the longterm trajectory of linsanity
5) wont win knicks the game, let alone the series
it's like with his surgery. if he wants to go out and play he'll go out and play. that's the bottom line. doctors, coach etc are not the ones pulling the trigger. Camel has put it all out there. he wants to carry the team in the playoffs. Lin will decide what his move is... does he go out there. does he honestly think he can make an impact. is making a symbolic statement something he's willing to take a small gamble on to stand with his floundering teammates/team?
I'm sure he's thinking about all those things |

As a pro, you will play if you're able to play. I think Lin will be well enough to play game 5.
I believe the Knicks fans expectation to win is very low. The outcome won't hurt Lin's standing with the franchise too much. I don't think the fans will expect Linsanity to take over. |

bro, that wasn't a phantom call. battier tapped melon on his shooting elbow. that's a legit foul every time. sneaky veteran trick that battier thought he could get away with. |

Yes, on the replay there was a tap on the elbow. |

battier didn't touch melon
lol @ thinking the "sneaky veteran play" is to foul on a 3 pointer with your team down 25 sec left in the game on a SUPERSTAR who gets bail out calls.
just lol
