Seems that Yao will lose ROY. I do not want to say how fair or uinfair it is, I want to blame Larry Smith:
1) If it were not for his stupid coaching, (Yao later admitted that it took him 2 weeks to adapt to Larry's coaching style, two weeks in most critical time), Rox should be in playoffs and no arguments could have been made;
2) If he could let Yao play more minutes in the last 5 games, Yao will not lose total points to Amare just for 2 points, which makes it a fact that Amare outscored AND outrebound Yao in the very end, no matter how small the difference is;
Hope Yao could be motivated and add 15 pounds this summer! |

There is no question Smith has single handedly taking away ROY from Yao.
I have said it before that if I were the owner of the rocket, he would be fired already. |
