In order to promote the City of Houston to the rest of the world, the municipal government of Houston plans to launch series of big poster ads of celebrities of Houston in USA Today, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, National Geographic.

The celebrities included former USA President George Bush, Beyonce Knowles
and of course, Houston Rockets' franchise palyer: Yao Ming. Razz

And in the poster and the dedicated website, http://www.visithoustontexas.com, put up for the campaign, Yao Ming talks about how he now treats Houston as his home, and dreams about the day he and his Rockets team mates parading the city of Houston, showcasing the NBA Championship.

Yao Ming
Center, Five Time NBA All-Star
Houston Rockets

When I first arrived here, I did not know what to expect and if I would be accepted. I have been here now for five seasons, and my family and I really like Houston. Everyone has been very kind and supportive of us.

When I go out, I usually go to Yao's Restaurant—I know the owner.

My perfect day in Houston hasn't happened yet. But when it does come, it will be me with my Rockets teammates riding on a fire truck in a downtown parade like the ones they had the last time we won the NBA championship.

When people visit me from out of town, I would have to say they need to come see me play at Toyota Center. But I would also recommend they go see NASA and Space Center Houston—there are a lot of interesting things to see there.

I think Houston has some great fans.

Naaaaaah, his parents had been there in Houston all these days.

His wife went back to Shanghai around Christmas time, but now returned together with her parents.

So Yao Ming will have to host the visit of his in-laws during the Chinese New Year.

No offense to Houstonians. Houston is a city without soul. They don't call Houston the arm pit of America for nothing.

I thought Yao Ming lived in Katy, not Houston? And his house is suppose to be much smaller than this one, which looks like a mansion.

I'm planning to move to houston within the next few months. It's a career situation. So hopefully I can unit with all the Houston Rocket fan's and Yao Ming fans. It's just makes me few at home in Houston Eventhough I don't know anyone there.
